They were both grad school students at UCLA and met while attending a seminar back east. He asked her out to dinner and she thought “he’s handsome why not!” Throughout the dinner, she figured they were just out as friends, until he kissed her. Fast forward to now planning a wedding this September at The Darlington House in La Jolla!
Props to Gen for Hiking Torrey Pines in a floor length dress!

“Good morning Greg! How’s-your-day-going-good?!” She would ask sweetly before taking his order for coffee . They were neighbors in Pacific Beach and crossed paths almost daily at 4am as Mary was on her way to work at the coffee shop and Greg was on his way getting home. Greg would be sure to stop by to get his coffee later in the morning and perhaps visit with his favorite Barista.
I was fortunate to also be “a regular” at said coffee shop, know Mary when she worked there along with her sister and the awesome group of girls that are still friends after having moved on. It was a happy coincidence that I showed up at the wedding as I was hired by my friend photographer Charles Jaworski as a second shooter.
They loved the beach, so a simple wedding at the Del Mar Powerhouse was perfect! Starfish, sand, blues and greens with champagne set the color palette.

Mary’s nieces are the cutest flower girls!

High five!

Coming soon to a theater near you: “The Baristas!”

Congratulations Mary & Greg!

Amazing pictures of a precious pair!!
I had the opportunity to second shoot with my very talented photographer friend Charles Jaworski on a very rainy St. Patrick’s Day. Stefanie & Jimmy would not let the rain dampen their enthusiasm for having a fantastic wedding day!
Vintage suitcases with burlap “love is sweet” pillows were the centerpiece of the dessert bar.

After the Church ceremony we stopped by (in the down pouring rain) at Old Poway Park.

This is the “before” picture where he looks all sweet during the first dance. Jimmy picked up his new Bride and jumped with her in the pool at the end of the reception (after we left). The entire wedding party also jumped in the pool…must have been the Green Beer!!
Congratulations Stefanie & Jimmy!

The rainstorm held off long enough for Leah & Alex to say “I Do” at the Coronado Cays Yacht Club. Soon after this photo was taken, Leah’s veil blew off into San Diego Harbor and the skies opened up tears of joy!

Clearly both so happy together!

Special thanks to the talented Annie Laurie on Camera 2![]()
